The Oakdale FFA students competed in the Stanislaus-Tuolumne Section FFA Leadership contest events on Dec. 12 at Grace Davis High School. Oakdale High School was represented quite well.
Leadership Development Events aim to develop college and career readiness skills. These competitive events serve as an outgrowth of instruction in the agricultural education classroom for FFA members.
Through participating in these competitive events, FFA members are challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement. Leadership development events occur at the local, state and national level.
