Junior High Royal Rams Set Fundraising Record

Oakdale Junior High School recently hosted its annual Royal Rams event. This year’s festivities hosted 28 couples (56 eighth grade students). Proceeds from the event benefit the annual eighth grade field trip to Great America.

It’s reported that over 1,000 people were in attendance contributing to the overall total of $12,000 raised, the highest number to date.

The following students were acknowledged in the following areas:

Named as the overall 2017 Royal Rams Winners were: Melissa Dickson and Dean Dodge. The duo also earned honors as winners of the Academic Integrity category.

Winners of the other categories were:

Overall Second Place and Formal Wear: Jordyn Elting and Cole Matoso.

Overall Third Place, Famous Couple and Fan Favorite: Kylie Davis and Kyle McIntosh.

Overall Fourth Place: Danielle Batezell and Elijah Lopez.

Overall Fifth Place: Hannah Sundberg and Owen Pena.

Fitness: Jennifer Blanco and Alexis Aguilar.

GRIT Award: Harmony Edwards and Lucas Hardy.

OJHS Role Model Award: Madison Jones and Cole Matoso.

Academic Integrity: Melissa Dickson and Dean Dodge.

Dedication Award: Leilani Roper and Tyler Brown.

Congeniality: Mia Goodreau and Gage Ferrera.
