Duenas retiring from CHS after 27-year career

Center for Human Services (CHS), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Stanislaus County for over 53 years, is bidding farewell to longtime Executive Director, Cindy Duenas. After 13 years of dedicated service as Executive Director and a 27-year total tenure with the agency, Duenas is entering a well-deserved retirement.

Under her visionary leadership, Center for Human Services has grown and evolved, making profound impacts on countless lives within the community. Her commitment to fostering positive change and addressing critical social issues has been a driving force behind the organization’s success.

Gina Machado, Deputy Executive Director, will assume the role of Executive Director effective July 15, 2024.

Duenas reflected on her time at CHS, stating, “It has been an incredible journey and I’m so grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to serve the community through Center for Human Services. I am immensely proud of our staff and what we have accomplished together and I’m confident the agency will continue to have a positive impact under Gina’s leadership.”
