A motorcyclist was injured – and arrested – on Friday, March 24.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday, Oakdale Police received reports of a motorcyclist driving recklessly and possibly under the influence. Officers located the motorcyclist in the 200 block of South Yosemite Avenue. The motorcyclist, who was later identified as a 50-year-old man from Oakdale, fled and subsequently lost control of his motorcycle, crashing into a fence at South Stearns Road, near Twildo Road. He was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
He was later arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for evading police and driving under the influence.
