Sign-ups are being taken now for the annual Oakdale Halloween decorating program, with a list of the decorated locations to be posted later this month.

This is not a contest; it is just for fun. All are encouraged to get involved by decorating your home, business, porch, lawn, etc. in the “coolest, creepiest, cutest, craziest, or most terrifying way possible” and offer it up as a Halloween display.

The décor must be up from Friday, Oct. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 31 for viewing in order to be placed on the list.

Decorate in whatever Halloween theme/scheme you choose and remember, the viewing will be scheduled at night, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., from Oct. 28 through Oct. 31, so lighting is encouraged. Those participating are asked to leave the decorations up and keep the lights on them through 10 p.m. for viewers.

Deadline for sign-ups is Sunday, Oct. 22 and the list of locations participating will be posted on Monday, Oct. 23. Decorations must be in place and ready for viewing by Oct. 28.
