Join Columbia College on Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m. for a free film screening of “Picture a Scientist” in the Dogwood Theater on the Columbia College campus in Sonora.

This film documents the struggles of women scientists who have persisted as high achieving researchers in their respective fields: geology, chemistry, and biology. The women share their personal stories and highlight changes to better support women on the path to becoming professional scientists. The film is one hour, 35 minutes and will be followed with a short audience discussion. The event will include refreshments and is being sponsored by the Columbia College Foundation through a Brady-Wise Mini Grant award.
