Delta College’s tradition of summer musicals returns this month with “Cinderella,” a Rodgers and Hammerstein classic.
As always, the production is free and open to the public.
“Cinderella” is a two-act musical derived from the fairy tale, particularly the French version “Cendrillon ou la petite pantoufle de verre,” by Charles Perrault. The story concerns a young woman forced into a life of hardship by her cruel stepmother. She dreams of a better life, and with the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into an elegant young lady and is able to attend the ball to meet her prince.
This production is recommended for all ages. Complimentary tickets are available online at the DCA Box Office or you can request tickets by calling 209 954-5110. Seating is limited, and is on a first come first serve basis, so plan accordingly.
