It was a time for taste testing recently on the campus of Sierra View Elementary in Oakdale, with a fun chili cook-off hosted. Those entering the tasty competition were, back row from left, Mrs. Sara Lindauer, Ms. Amanda Hensley, Mrs. Conney Frazee, Mrs. Cheri Martin. Front row from left, Mr. David Kindred, Mrs. Kim Spencer, Mrs. Stacy Graham, Mrs. Jamie Grohl. Taking home the first place ribbon was Martin, with a tie for second between Kindred and Lindauer, and Frazee taking third place. The Sierra View Sunshine Committee organizes different activities throughout the year to work on staff cohesiveness/team building. This inaugural chili cook-off featured vegetarian, white bean and chicken, Portuguese bean, and turkey taco hominy chili, amongst others.
