Oakdale fell to Manteca in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III title game on Friday night by a 35-28 final.

Trailing 21-7 at the half in the Nov. 26 contest, Oakdale stormed back and the teams were knotted at 28-28 in the fourth before Manteca broke through for what turned out to be the winning touchdown.

The Buffaloes got a standout performance from Blake Nichelson, 30 carries for 215 yards and a pair of scores, in the Section victory.

Jace Rau scored a pair of touchdowns for Oakdale in the loss.
