Escalon Farmington Garden Club members are inviting all interested local residents to attend their October meeting.

The gathering is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m., at the United Methodist Church at 25626 Elm St., Farmington

Guest Speaker will be Katie Patterson, speaking on behalf of the South San Joaquin Irrigation District. Her talk will cover a wide range of topics: Drought, Conservation tips and the SSIJD bid to provide public power.

The meeting will start with the presentation by Patterson, with snacks, the general meeting, a door prize and raffle drawings to follow.
