This year, the AFP Yosemite Chapter created a new Award category: Spirit of the Valley Award. The award is presented to an individual who embodies a tireless spirit of generosity, commitment to community, understanding of and dedication to fundraising to advance organizations’ missions, demonstrated belief in collaboration, and relentless tenacity and tenure in service to others. This special recognition is for an individual whose efforts transcend a single category recognized through these awards.

Committee Co-Chair Amy Wolfe said, “We are thrilled to come together to celebrate the incredible spirit of generosity and the profound impact that philanthropy has on our community. We can’t wait to honor each of our award winners and the Community Champions who were nominated by our local nonprofit organizations.”

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 30,000 fundraisers in 197 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. The Association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
