Head to La Grange for the 14th Annual Odd Fellows Catfish Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17, served from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets at the door are $25. This fundraiser event is held at the IOOF Hall, 30018 Yosemite Blvd., in downtown La Grange, sponsored by Lafayette Lodge #65, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Sit down with your family in the comfortable banquet room to a hearty serving of deep-fried catfish fillet, corn on the cob, slaw salad and cornbread, with complimentary coffee, iced tea or lemonade. The dinner also features ice cream sundaes for dessert.

All are encouraged to join in for the monthly breakfasts at the IOOF Hall on the second Sunday of the month from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The menu is ham and cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy and all you can eat pancakes, with complimentary coffee and orange juice, all for $10, with special prices for kids.

Pre-sale tickets for the Catfish Dinner will be available at the Sunday, Aug. 11 breakfast, in the historical landmark IOOF Hall, built in 1881, site of many fundraisers and community gatherings.

The Odd Fellows of Lafayette Lodge #65 have been serving the town of La Grange since 1857, through the Gold Rush and cattle ranching days, right up to the present.
