Two upcoming events will both support the Community Hospice mission in the Central Valley.

Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, the Community Hospice Foundation’s Hops & Vines will be staged at 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto beginning at 6 p.m.

Must be 21 to attend, tickets are $75 per person and include active outdoor games with axe throwing and corn hole, paired with tastings of locally brewed ales and fine wines. There will also be music during the event.

Tastings are planned from Blaker Brewing, Dust Bowl Brewing, Five Eye Brewing, Last Call Brewing, Persuasion Brewing, E & J Gallo Winery, Riboli Family Wines, The Wine Group and Champagne Bar in addition to Fiscalini Cheese Company, Wolfsens Meat and Sausage, and The Bakeshop.

Then, on Monday, Sept. 18, join the fun at Golf Fore Community Hospice, at Del Rio Country Club, 801 Stewart Road, Modesto. Early bird registration runs through Thursday, Aug. 31 at a cost of $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome. Registration includes brunch and beverages, green fees and cart, tee prize, course giveaways, hosted dinner and wine, awards, drawings and a live auction.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with brunch and beverages, scramble tee off is at 11 a.m., with the hosted dinner beginning at 4 p.m.
