Gear Up For Thanksgiving With Annual Turkey Trot

Modesto Junior College Cross Country Team invites anyone looking for some exercise before their Thanksgiving Day dinner to participate in the 16th Annual Modesto Turkey Trot and Gobbler Walk on Thursday, Nov. 26 at the Tuolumne River Regional Park in Modesto. The fun run for boys and girls (13 years and under) will begin with a half mile boys race at 8:45 a.m., followed by a half mile girls race at 9 a.m. The 5 kilometer run will start at 9:30 a.m. and the 5 kilometer Gobbler Walk begins at 9:35 a.m. The 5 kilometer course (3.1 miles) follows the Tuolumne River on a mostly paved path, passing through the old oak groves in the park. After the race there will be an awards ceremony and refreshments.
