Jarod Timothy Pitassi and Syvanna Lee Gilton have announced their plans to wed in the summer of 2010.

The couple announced their engagement at a party given in their honor at the home of the future bride’s parents in mid-September. They became engaged on Aug. 22, 2009 at the Hearst Castle in San Simeon.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ted and Cheryl Gilton of Oakdale. She is a 2005 graduate of Oakdale High School and currently attends Southern Oregon University. She is pursuing a degree in business management and accounting. Her siblings are Tessa and Tedford Gilton.

The prospective groom is the son of Tim and Patrice Pitassi of Oakdale. He is also a 2005 graduate of Oakdale High School. He also attends Southern Oregon University, studying for a degree in Engineering and is wrestling for the S.O.U. Team. His siblings are Jenessa Rosemae, J.P. and Shawna Pitassi. His niece is Jenessa Rae Pitassi.
