Monday, Feb. 21 is Presidents’ Day with closures to mark the event, celebrating the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Schools are closed on Monday, there will be no mail delivery, banks are closed, city, state and federal offices are closed and businesses have the option of closing.

Students in the Oakdale Joint Unified School District will also have a bonus day off on Tuesday, Feb. 22 as teachers have a furlough day. Classes resume on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The Oakdale City Council, which normally meets on the first and third Mondays of the month, will not meet on Feb. 21 due to the holiday observance but will instead gather for the next session on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
