Jerry Lee McChesney and Judith Eileen (Ellin) McChesney observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12, 2014.

The couple was married in Hayward, California in 1964 and met in Hayward at the roller skating rink. They have been Oakdale residents for 14 years.

They have two children, Pam Pistella and her husband Wayne of Spanaway, Washington and Kathey Amaral of Oakdale; and three grandsons, Jon Amaral, JC Amaral and Nik Pistella.

Mr. McChesney is a retired steamfitter and Mrs. McChesney is a retired church secretary.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a party in Oakdale, which their bridesmaid, Rogene Hill from Nevada was able to attend. Mrs. McChesney’s wedding dress and veil were on display and the original cake top was also used.
