Ralph and Virginia Buerer celebrated 70 years of marriage on July 27, 2011.
A celebration of their nuptials was hosted at Grace Baptist Church in Eureka, California.
The couple first met while attending Oakdale High School. They were married on July 21, 1941 at United Brethren Church. They lived in both Modesto and Eureka.
Mr. Buerer was a shop teacher at Eureka High School and Mrs. Buerer taught first grade at Eureka Elementary School.
The two are the proud parents of three children, Larry Buerer of Bayside, Diane Mann of Eureka and Lynn Buerer of Beaverton, Oregon. They have seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
